Check Out This Month’s Game-Changers
This month, we’ve packed in four new features and eleven recommendations to supercharge your cloud management, making it more effective and efficient than ever before. Let’s dive in and see what September has installed for us!
Fresh Look for Optimization Recommendations
First Up, we’ve given the Recommendations page a complete makeover to make navigating and understanding your usage and rate optimization easier. With this improved design, everything feels more intuitive, giving you a smoother experience.
Here’s the scoop: We’ve split usage and rate optimization into dedicated tabs for better organization. The filters are now conveniently placed on the left, and the recommendations table sits on the right, creating a cleaner, more efficient layout that’s easy on the eyes and super simple to use.
Insights Report: Discover Your Hidden Savings Opportunities!
We are also introducing a brand-new section to your Insights Report, the ‘Estimated Unrealized Rate Optimization Opportunities!’ This feature highlights untapped potential savings in your cloud environment.
Heads up: You’ll need to generate a new Insights Report to check out this new awesome addition.
And here’s what you’ll find in this section:
Estimated Unrealized Rate Optimization Savings by Account
Get a breakdown of the top 6 accounts where optimization opportunities are ripe for the taking but haven’t been used yet. These accounts are ranked by potential monthly savings you’re leaving on the table, from highest to lowest.
Top AWS Unrealized Rate Optimization Recommendations for the Quarter
You can also see the top 10 AWS Recommendations for the Quarter, ranked by potential monthly savings. This section shows you a list of recommendations where you could be cutting costs and max your savings.
Time Zone Magic
With our new Time Zone implementation, you can now pick your preferred time zone so all your updates and times sync perfectly with your setting.
Oh, you’re not a fan of manual work? No problem!
If you haven’t got the time to set your time zone, we got your back! The system automatically adjusts to your local time zone. Plus, we’ve added an auto-detect option that does that for you! When enabled, it detects your current location’s time zone and applies it instantly on your app. It’s set to auto by default, making sure you’re always in sync without lifting a finger.
Group By…Category!
For the last feature, you can say goodbye to digging through endless expenses for individual services like DynamoDB, EC2, or S3! The new Group By Category filter in cost group takes the complexity out of cloud cost analysis by bundling these services into easy-to-understand categories like compute, storage, databases, and networking. With this, creating insights has never been easier. Plus, you can level up your analysis by combining this category view with other filters like daily or monthly time period for extra insights.
And the best part? This feature works across GCP, Azure, and AWS, giving you a consistent, big-picture view of your spending across all platforms.
Recommendations Unleashed!
We’ve also added a bunch of recommendations from AWS that focus on cost optimization and best practices to help you level up your AWS resource management. These tips are designed to minimize your cloud spending, boost system performance, and keep you securely compliant.
Here are the new recommendations you need to check out:
- AWS Account Not Part of AWS Organizations
- AWS Well-Architected high risk issues for cost optimization
- S3: S3 version-enabled buckets without lifecycle policies configured
- S3: S3 Bucket Lifecycle Policy Configured
- EC2: Instances Consolidation for Microsoft SQL Server
- EC2: Instances Over-provisioned for Microsoft SQL Server
- ECR: Repository Without Lifecycle Policy Configured
- Route53: Latency Resource Record Sets

As always, if you want to know more about the details of these recommendations, feel free to check out our documentations.
