Introduction
Alphaus Inc. was shortlisted for Batch 4 of the Global Launch Singapore program by 500 Startups, a global venture capital seed fund and startup accelerator, alongside 13 other global startups. Our CEO and COO, Hajime Hirose and Shungo Arai, are now participating in this 8-week online program that kicked off on August 2nd, 2021.
Led by Garry Huang, a seasoned Entrepreneur-in-Residence at 500 Startup Singapore, the program is designed for growth-stage startups around the world to develop and execute a targeted strategy to scale in Southeast Asia using Singapore as a launchpad through expert mentoring sessions, virtual community events, 500’s global network of industry players etc. Alphaus’ decided to join the program as it will help the team learn the fundamentals of the regional market and refine its go-to-market (GTM) strategy which recently started in Singapore.
As announced in July, Alphaus made a successful foray into the Singapore market, servicing Cloud Comrade, the first Singapore headquartered AWS Premier Consulting Partner. Alphaus addresses the increasing challenges that Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Enterprises face in the emerging cloud market. IDC recently expected the spending on public cloud services in Asia/Pacific region excluding Japan, would record 28.8% growth in 2021 and would reach USD 125 billion by 2025.
Alphaus was previously shortlisted into Batch 15 of 500 Startups' Accelerator Program in Silicon Valley back in November 2016 under the name, Mobingi. It was the only company that was selected and participated from Japan. Besides, 500 Startups was also one of Alphaus’ shareholders in its early days.
The team at Alphaus will be sharing key takeaways from the program at the end of Week 8. Stay tuned to learn more!
